Her main engines are a pair of MTU 20V 4000 M93L diesels, and she has a third engine that powers a booster jet. With the twin MTUs, her top speed is 25.3 knots. With the booster jet engaged, the yacht blasts past 30 knots, according to Heesen.

Espen Øino handled exterior design, and Galactica Super Nova’s interior is by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design. Tenders and toys (including a Quadski) are housed forward, where there is also a helipad that serves double duty as an outdoor cinema. Aft are a beach club at water level and a 3,566-gallon pool on the main deck, with jets for use as a spa or for contraflow swimming.
