Welcome to Seal Superyachts - Sri lanka
Seal Superyachts has recently opened its
newest base of operations in Sri Lanka. Although at this time, very few Superyachts have ventured to
discover this island of irresistible charm, we feel that it is only inevitable that Sri Lanka will
establish itself as a well known destination for yachts voyaging through the Indian Ocean. Our aim is be
there at the very beginning, to help develop Sri Lanka in to a favorite stop off. After all, the
combination of the golden beaches, verdant vegetation, ancient monuments, numerous wildlife reserves,
exquisite gem stones, highland tea plantations and a local cuisine of a thousand tastes has to be hard
to beat.
Sri Lanka - the pearl of the Indian Ocean is a beautiful tropical island covering an area
of 65,610 square kilometers (25,000 square miles), situated southeast of the Indian subcontinent and
880 Kilometers to the north of the Equator. |
 |
The islands eighteen million strong population provides Sri Lanka with an intoxicating mix of cultures
and diverse ethnic groups, who have been practicing their unique traditions for many centuries. Whilst
Sri Lanka is progressive and forward looking in its outlook, it is at the same time deeply embodied with a sense of pride in its traditions and heritage.
Most surprising is that communication is rarely a problem, English is widely spoken in many parts of the
country in addition to the national languages Sinhala, Tamil and many other foreign languages.
Identification of places is made convenient by signboards both in English and Sinhala. |
