Superyachts Gather for the Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous

The Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous (KRSR) is delighted to confirm an impressive fleet of over a dozen elite superyachts for its inaugural event, representing the most incredible gathering of superyachts ever assembled in Phuket.

These include Megayacht Lauren L (90m, Cassens-Werft), MY Paraffin (61m, Feadship), MY Azul A (34m, Moonen shipyard), MY Princess 88 (26.8m, Princess Yachts), MY SanLorenzo 104 (31.7m, Sanlorenzo), MY SanLorenzo 46Steel (46m, Sanlorenzo), SY Ocean Runner 110 (34m, TCC Yacht Building), MY Northern Sun (51m, Narasaki Shipyard), MY Ferretti 72 (22m, Ferretti Yachts), SY Aspiration (26.2m, Nautor’s Swan), MY After 8 (29m, XXXXXX), SY Dunia Baru (51m, Konjo Boat Builders), SY Arabella (47.5m, Palmer Johnson Yachts).

This luxury fleet will prove an impressive sight, towering over the 100 plus smaller sailing yachts moored next door for the 30th Anniversary Phuket King’s Cup Regatta 2016. The KRSR kicks off the morning of Saturday 10 December with Kata Rocks’ ‘Resort Showcase’ followed by keynote presentation on the state of the industry and other cutting-edge design trends. Next the much anticipated ‘Yacht Hop’ begins, providing all involved for a fantastic opportunity to board these fabulous superyachts.

Day One concludes with the KRSR Opening Party on the 51-metre Phinisi-style sailing yacht Dunia Baru showcasing Kata Rocks’ award winning hospitality and culinary excellence. Sunday guests embark to the Surin Resort for a delicious private beach BBQ. Cruise Day features the KRSR armada of sensational superyachts on parade, a first along Phuket’s west coast. The stunning spectacle will be documented by 10 photographers and three aerial drones, watch it live on Kata Rocks social media feeds via the #KRSR hashtag. Yachts will then return to the resort for the ‘Gins of The World’ party, followed by the exclusive invitation-only ‘Feadship Owner’s Dinner’ reserved for Kata Rocks and Superyacht owners in a Kata Rocks’ Penthouse Sky Villa.

Monday starts with a Champagne Media Breakfast. Invited guests will acquaint with influential editors from over 20 luxury lifestyle media outlets. In the afternoon guests will experience ‘Big Boys Toys’, ranging from the leisurely to the extreme. The event concludes with the Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous Charter Season Opening Party. A live band will play into the night and guests will dance under the stars by the shimmering Andaman Sea – a spectacular end to an unforgettable Rendezvous.
